McDonald's McAloo wrap

McDonald's McAloo wrap

It is rare for us to be writing about a McDonald's product. But their latest addition to their Indian menu - the McAloo wrap - is really tasty. We accidentally ended up at a McDonald's outlet and saw this big promotion going on about their new menu additions which apparently has some 40-odd items which are not burgers.
The McAloo wrap has the usual aloo (potato) patty served inside a floured tortilla. The tortilla bread is also filled with shredded lettuce and onions and served with a strong, flavorful Chipotle sauce. They say that it is healthyish because the whole stuff is grilled, an not fried, before serving. But the aloo patty is the same deep-fried patty that is found in their burgers so the healthy claim does not hold much ground. And anyway, as if people going to McDonald's care about health!
But yes, this new addition of McDonald's McAloo wrap is tasty and for those who don't like burgers, here's an alternative which is juicy and somewhat softer. The quantity is not enough. Even for a snack break, you may need to buy two McAloo wraps to feel satisfied. The price for a McAloo wrap (including taxes) is Rs. 52.

McDonald's India has also launched a gift festival. The McDonald's Gifts Festival is running till 27th Jan 2014 and offers assured gifts to every customer. With every purchase of Rs 25 or more you will get a Gift Coupon which has four gifts for you: McDonald’s Free food/beverage item, free mobile talktime recharge worth Rs. 20 and a Rs. 100 discount code from flipkart. Plus a free food item via the scratch card.
